My inspiration for this box was a Lindt Truffles Christmas box, and yes, I bought the box of truffles just to bring it home and use it as a design reference. That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it! Anyway, I've had it for a week, but I hadn't had time to really tackle it until today. We're literally snowed in here with about 10" of snow, so I figured today was the day, and I've been in my craft room ALL day! I'm SO happy with this box that I'm considering it my "crowning achievement." I gave it its name because it reminds me of the top of those puffy crowns, and my daughter has always loved Disney princesses, so I named it in her honor.
This box isn't one that you'll want to use if you need to make a lot of them because it's both labor and materials intensive, but the results are so stunning that it's definitely worth the effort and card stock, and the ooohs and ahhhs that you're sure to get from the recipients won't hurt either.
I've zipped the cut files together with a detailed tutorial with photos, so please give it a try, and let me know if you find the tutorial helpful or if something isn't clear so I can change it where needed. If you run into any trouble at all, please e-mail me, and I'll be happy to try to help.
