Boutique Tissue Box Cover

Yes!  I'm back to designing again!  This time I've done a little home decor item to share with you.  I never seem to be able to find tissue boxes that go with my decor, and at this time of year, we have tissue boxes in every room!  So, I decided to dress mine up a bit using my Cricut.  It's fast, easy, and inexpensive, and you can make one for every season or every occasion!

This project isn't complicated to put together, but I made a video tutorial anyway.  I figured it would be good practice for making my Tuesday Treats video.  Remember it's my first on-camera one, so forgive the bad lighting and going off camera once in a while.  I hope they'll get better, but I think this one will help you - and you only have to stand me for 6 minutes this time!

There are 4 versions of the files. You have your choice of Gypsy or Design Studio format, and I have created the files so that you can cut it on 12x24" cardstock, but since that's a bit difficult to find, I also designed a file for cutting from 2 sheets of 12x12".  I use 12x12" in the video.

As always, I only ask that you leave a comment if you download the files.

Hi, I happened on to your blog and saw some of your beautiful files that you cut. I decided to try a simple one(to me, I know it's far more complicated than it looks) I am new to all of the designing etc.. and so I do not know which carts you used to cut the tissue box?? I don't have all of them but I read the whole post and still couldn't find it. ?? Am I missing something or am I just dumb?
you have a nice blog, even if I can't find what I'm looking for! lol.
thanks.

Like the box cover a lot. Would like a design studio one for the long tissue box, too!

Good tutorial. You speak clearly and at just the right pace.If you can place your camera overhead it would make it easier to see all of your moves.

Looking forward to April's videos.

Thank you so much for this tissue box file. It's really nice when someone as talented as you will share. Having files like this helps me to understand how to design things myself. Thanks again.

The tissue box is so lovely. It would make a nice gift or would brighten up a room. Sure looks better than the plain box from the store. Thanks for sharing.

hi! AMAZING box - really quick, easy and stunning out come! i hate to be a pain - but I don't have any of the machines everyone uses [ yet... Ims aving! ] is there a way You could make a template in PNG or PSD format? I'm extremely new to all this so even though it appears very simple, it's pretty dang complicated in my head. Thank you for your time!

Jan, I'm working on it, but it's going to require a video tutorial for putting it together. I have to say, it's the project I'm the most proud of to date. I'm REALLY excited about it, and it's so much fun to make that I've already make 5! It's well worth the time it will take to make them. :) Stay tuned. It's coming soon!

love the video and I know this is a older post. I downloaded the file for Design studio but it keeps coming up that it can not be open, I do not have Design Studio, I have Cricut craft room. I don't know if it makes a difference or not. is there some other place that I can get the measurement from.

Thank You
