SCORE! Super Bowl Football Box

A follower emailed me last night and asked if I could come up with something to give to her guests as they leave her Super Bowl party this Sunday. Well...you KNOW how I love a challenge!  This was one of those rare projects that came together exactly as I pictured it.  Because time was short, I used Tags, Bags, Boxes and More instead of making my own box, but I made the football, goal post and word out of good ole' George.  I hope she likes it, and I hope some of you can use it, too.

I wanted to get this posted tonight, so I didn't take the time to make a downloadable tutorial.  I've included it here instead.  Enjoy!

1. Assemble the football as pictured above. Adhere to box flap, then assemble box.

2. Fold goal post legs in half, as shown.  Turn back ends about 1/4" in opposite directions. Repeat on other goal post leg.
3. Adhere the 2 layers of the goal post together if desired, making sure to leave the flaps that you folded on the ends unglued.

4.  Insert ends of goal post legs into slots in box top and glue on the inside, as shown.
5.  Apply velcro dot set to inside of flap.

6. Fill with goodies!

I can't thank you enough for helping me out with this project. I'm so excited to make these tomorrow. I'm even more excited to hand them out at the Superbowl party. It definitely will take the sting out since the Giants didn't make it this year. (LOL) You are so talented and very generous to help me out. Thanks again.

It was fun coming up with it. I hope you have TBBM and George. I tried to make it with carts that I thought most people would have :) Have fun!

Okay, you are not going to believe this but I tried to download your heart box earlier today but could not so I returned to the mb briefly and I saw the football box. What is funny to me is that I was going to download your heart box to modify it, okay try to modify it, okay mess it up, by taking away the hearts, adding a football in the front of the box and perhaps a goal on the backside of the box. I was planning to make a fleur de leis stamp, make the bottom of the box black, stamp the box with gold embossing powder, heat it up and maybe put “Who Dat” in the front and back middle of the box. Then I planned to make the football, emboss the lines on the football with the score board, stickle it perhaps and try to figure out what texture I was going to make the pigskin of the football to pop. Then I was going to put a shadow behind the football and either repeat it or put a goal on the backside of the box as I did not get that far in my thoughts with the design. Then I was going to find black and gold tissue paper, put it in the box and pour snacks in the box! I planned to put several boxes around the room and I guess you can figure out who I want to win the Superbowl! Lol Mercy, Mercy, wake up girl that design is not going to happen as that was just a dream! Lol Really, it is not going to happen unless of course you want to succeed with that idea. Lol No pressure! Anyways, thank you once again for everything and the creativity of the box is AWESOME!!!

Who Dat!
